Easy Ways to Keep Kiddo’s Entertained (Indoors) During The Winter Months
All too soon, it will be too cold for your kids to go outside; which is when they turn their attention to you to keep them entertained (lucky you!). So, to ease some of that stress here are some fun activities to help entertain your littles.
-Create an obstacle course in the living room with couch cushions, boxes, chairs, anything really that you have around the house. Once it’s completed you can
-Make it a race to see who can get though the fastest or who can beat the clock
-Make it a rescue mission. Place a stuffed animal or favorite toy at the end of the course. Your child has to get to them and return to the beginning of the course to save them.
-Bake something yummy!
-Bake some cookies, a cake, pie or pastries. And it doesn’t have to be a huge mess-you can always buy the premade cookie dough, pie crust, or cake mix.
-Learn a new recipe from another culture
-Find child friendly recipe to try with your kiddo’s
-Try an experiment
-Create playdoh or slime.
-Mix baking soda and vinegar and see what happens
-Add some food dye to water and stick a celery stalk in it (watch as the color is brought up through the stalk)
-Create invisible ink with Lemon juice, make a tornado in a bottle. Grab two, two liter bottles, add water to one, duct tape the empty bottle on top of the full one, spin the water around and flip the bottle’s upside down-watch as a tornado forms right before your eyes!
-Have a dance party!
-See who can dance the fastest, the longest, the silliest or the slowest
-Break out the board games and card games
– Play dress up
-Dress up as a favorite character from a book/movie/TV show, or dress up as each other
